My experience with Animal Crossing goes back to the Gamecube version. I lived with 3 other people - we were all hopelessly addicted to Animal Crossing. I remember coming home one day to find that one of the flatmates had cut down half the trees in the town. After a heated argument the Gamecube was moved into my room.

Animal Crossing is the most addictive game I have ever played, it consumes your life for months and months and then one day you stop, realise how silly the game is and you never play it again... Although I have been thinking about picking up the DS version lately...

Hollo's is a gold-mine for teacher looking to save some money. You can get pounds of paper including anything from cardstock to poster board, enevelopes to stationery for literally peanuts. There's bulletin board paper, borders, and other teaching materials. I've even seen boxes of great math manipulatives such as geoboards, unifix cubes and learning clocks. Beware however: While most of the paper products are very cheap and there are some good buys....there are some products such as highlighters, crayons and other materials that are highly overpriced.

This is also an excellent place to find wedding stationery and invitations far below the cost of retail.

I can't rave enough about Hollo's. they have every kind of paper imaginable. My fiance and I couldn't agree about our invitations so I decided to make them as to not have to get what he wanted. I got the paper and envelopes at Hollo's and was very pleased with their selection, service, and prices. Wonderful vendor.

I am a newbie to Hollo's and can't get enough. The paper selection there is unreal. Beware.... make sure you have enough time to spend in there, because there is a lot of choices. You name it they have it. The quality far exceeds the retail stores and the price is insane. $1.00 a pound,,,, you just can't beat it. Also, no one has even mentioned that they have matching envelopes. Yes, thats right. The envelopes match the papers. They have handmade papers, stamp and stickers, plates and napkins. And to top it off, they are family owned. From the last write up in the Akron Beacon Journal, 12 of the 14 employees there are related. I will forever be a customer! I highly recommend it.

Materials:
paper

something to color with (if using B&W template)

Instructions:
print template of choice (B&W or color) -- you must print all 3 templates
to save ink, try printing on construction paper. The roof (template 3) works especially well this way.
Color in the template pieces (B&W version)
Cut out the template pieces
Fold along all of the lines
Use the tabs that say "glue" to guide you as to where to apply glue. There are also brief directions on the templates to help you sort out what you need to do.

Templates:
Close the template window after printing to return to this screen.
Set page margins to zero if you have trouble fitting the template on one page (FILE, PAGE SETUP or FILE, PRINTER SETUP in most browsers).

These flowers are quick to make and the children enjoy making them. Younger children may need some help with accordion-pleating the tissue paper.

How to make it:
Cut tissue paper into rectangles of desired size (5x7" is the size pictured).
Stack 4-6 pieces of tissue paper. Use the same color or different colors.
Accordion pleat the tissue paper working from the long side.
Wind one end of the chenille stem around the middle of the accordion pleated tissue paper.
Gently separate each layer pulling upwards toward the middle of the flower.
Let the children make a couple of flowers and put them in a May Basket.
Early on the morning of May 1st hang on your mother's door, a neighbor's door, a friend's, or anyone special to you. Remember, it's supposed to be a surprise!

In this article, my goal is to show you several ways that you can get your paper organized so you can work more efficiently. The first step with any organization project is to sort. Sort into like piles of color, print, pattern, or however makes the most sense to you. After you have sorted, the next step is to purge. Do you have papers that you just know that you will never use? Has your style changed since you shopped for certain prints and now they are just taking up space making it harder to find what you will use? Consider donating scrapbook papers that you want to purge to your local elementary school. Now that you can see what you have and have narrowed it down to what you want to keep, it's time to decide on a method of organization. The storage systems listed here vary widely in price, so choose the one that will work best for you, you find the most visually pleasing, and, of course, will fit into your budget.

It is a well-known fact that the first American Shorthair cats were brought to America by the Puritans coming from England on the Mayflower in 1620. These cats were brought on the ship for the purpose of protecting the food and clothing from mice. (In those days, the cats were called ‘Shorthairs’.) In terms of characteristics, the American Shorthair has a large body and sturdy shape compared to European cats. The first Dharma dolls are said to have been made some 300 years ago at the Sorensen Dharma Temple in Takasaki City in Gunma Prefecture, modeled after the Zen monk, Bodhidharma. The eyebrows and beard represent the crane and the turtle, long considered symbols of longevity in Japan, and the dolls are popular as good luck charms.

It is traditional to paint in the left pupil (the right one facing you) when you make a wish, and then paint in the right pupil when the wish comes true. Also, it is said to be most lucky to place the doll so that it faces south.

In Japan, red and white are considered lucky and these are the usual colors for a Dharma doll. There are other dolls with different colors, based on oriental astrology, so you can select the color of the doll based on the nature of your wish and your lucky color, increasing the fun and perhaps the efficacy of the charm.

The color blue is believed to have the power to invigorate the spirit. It is used to calm the emotions and to give full rein to one's abilities.

6 Tips to Improve Your Papercraft

Papercraft is a great hobby to have - but it can be incredibly frustrating when you’re starting out (or even when you’ve gained some experience). Here’s six simple tips to help you get the most out of your models!

Use a knife and a ruler to cut straight lines

With a knife and ruler you can be sure of cutting a neat, straight line. Most craft stores stock steel ’safety’ rulers, which have high sides and a finger groove so that you can make firm cuts without fear of dismemberment.

Sharp knives are safer

It may seem strange, but you need less pressure to use a sharp knife, so you’re less likely to slip and cut yourself.

I picked up 15 assorted knives for £1 in the local bargain shop. The type with snap-off blades are great because you can keep the point pointy and the edge sharp.

Then there’s the option of a craft knife with interchangeable blades - these are widely available, so you can pick up a few at a time. For ultra-precise detail work, there’s a lot to be said for a good sharp blade.

Use scissors to cut curves

When it comes to nice curvy bits, a good sharp pair of scissors works wonders. I’ve got the best results by moving the cutting hand, and only moving the paper when I can’t turn my wrist any more.

Clear plastic rulers are great for corners

If you’re cutting at a 90-degree angle, then a clear ruler is fantastic for making a clean cut. Simply line the edge up to the markings on the ruler and the edge is automatically square!

Score the paper for crisp folds

Don’t be tempted to score your folds with the cutting edge of the knife - you run the risk of going right through to the other side. Instead, use something blunter - the back of your knife, an unfolded paper clip, whatever comes to hand and works for you!

Scoring should be just a very light guide to help the paper fold neatly, deep scoring can weaken the model and make it harder to assemble.

Always use good quality paper

This is my #1 tip - if you want your models to look good, go together easily, and last, then don’t use cheap paper. Copier paper is good for copiers, but it’s too flimsy for making sturdy models. Spend that bit extra and use some heavier paper or light card stock - the results will be worth it!

1: Use a Prym Omnigrid Ruler as this will guide the blade of the Prym Art knife for a straight cut. Make sure that the blade is sharp when using the Prym Art knife and always be aware that blades are extremely sharp.

2: Use a sharp pencil to ensure that measurements are accurate.

3: Use PVA glue as this dries clear. Keep work flat when drying and always allow enough drying time.

The African elephant is the largest land mammal in the world. Its tusks become curved as they grow, and in males they can reach lengths of up to 350cm. Its large, triangular ears are not only perfect for collecting sound, but they are also used for releasing body heat, and elephants spread them out to intimidate other animals. Jaguar MK11 Saloon

The "Jaguar- MkII SALOON" is a compact saloon from Jaguar, which made its debut in 1959 at an automobile show in London. The model featured an original styling, its four-door body designed with a sleek, streamlined finish. It also made use of sash-type doors and windows, considered innovative at the time. The Jaguar- MkII SALOON came in 2.4, 3.2, and 3.8 liter types, each featuring a straight-six DOHC engine.
